this multifunctional project bursts with vibrancy, representative of its setting, the bustling streets of london. however, it is difficult to ignore a natural sense of tension created by the five looming towers.

the fundamental concept of the project helps to emphasise the split-design of the construction; this is in particular reference of the residential buildings and public service sections, defined by traction and compression forces, respectively. these opposing forces are immediately apparent to the viewer and form an integral part of the buildings identity.
